SENTINEL^TM S.W.S.

After years of building custom bolt action rifles to each customer's exact specs, I have decided to offer "spec" built rifle packages that offer ruggedness and accuracy second to none. These rifles are built one at a time, personally hand finished, inspected and test fired just like our custom rifles have always been.

The SENTINEL^TM S.W.S. will be our benchmark for state of the art precision call out weapons. Read below for details of this new generation S.W.S.

PURPOSE BUILT ACTION

The heart of the SENTINEL^TM Sniper Weapon System is the Model 591 short action produced by Surgeon in Prague, Oklahoma. This action offers mission specific features that are machined integral to the receiver from one block of 4340 Steel. All final dimensional machining is completed after heat treat. The center bore and lug ways of the receiver are E.D.M. wired leaving an inside dimension that runs parallel to the exterior within 0.0002". Some of the main features of the action are:

Picatinny 1913 Mil-Spec base. <> Integral .250" recoil lug. <> 23% longer barrel tenon thread increases engagement and rigidity. <> Heavy duty, side mounted bolt stop with protective fence. <> Uses proven Remington M700 extractor, ejector and striker components. <> Remington style triggers. *Rifle Basix is standard on the SENTINEL^TM

The bolt handle base is machined integral with the bolt body. This eliminates any possibility of braze or weld failure. All bolt diameters are turned on the same set up as the locking lug surfaces to insure perfectly square contact surfaces. The KMW Tactical bolt handle is standard on this S.W.S. A modified extraction cam machined into the receiver and bolt offer a longer engagement surface for a more reliable and smooth extraction under severe conditions.

BARRELS

I use only match grade, cut rifled barrel blanks by Krieger. The minimal stress of the cut rifling process provides a barrel that is very well behaved through a wide temperature range. Each barrel is precision machined and chambered by KMW for perfect alignment but with enough tolerances to allow for operational extremes.

Variants of the SENTINEL^TM will be offered with differing barrel lengths and suppressor mounting options.

Chamberings will vary with each group of rifles but the main calibers will be: .308 Win., .260 Rem., .243 Win., 6mmXC, 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5x47 Lapua.

*NOTE: Our LongSword^TM rifles will be chambered in .300 Win Mag, .300 Norma Magnum, .338 Norma Magnum and .338 Lapua Magnum.

STOCK

Each SENTINEL^TM rides in a proprietary stock designed by KMW and manufactured by McMillan Fiberglass Stocks in Phoenix, AZ. This stock design was developed over a period of 4 years and includes input from top competition shooters as well as law enforcement agencies from different parts of the country.

This stock features an ambidextrous thumbhole grip and adjustable cheek piece design. Unique features include a very low profile forend with a conformal bottom factory molded for the excellent Harris S-series bipods. Marble and camo patterns are molded into the Gel Coat outer layer.

Each stock is precision bedded using custom cut 7075-T6 pillars and MarineTex top layer. Lifetime warranty on the bedding.

Every SENTINEL^TM Stock includes LoggerHead^TM adjustable cheek piece hardware. This KMW designed hardware is proven to retain shooter preferences when removed and replaced for bore maintenance and will not vibrate loose when shooting or transporting the rifle. Includes flush mounted sling hardpoints with one set of 1¼" swivel loops and one standard stud hardpoint for bipod attachment under forearm. Length of Pull Spacer System is included with Pachmayr Presentation recoil pad. Stock is fitted with detachable magazine hardware includes one 5 round AICS magazine. Additional 5rd and 10rd AICS magazines are available. Each stock is serial number matched to its host barreled action.

** PVS-22/27 forward mount base can be specified on these packages.

TRIGGER is a Rifle Basix Match adjusted to 2.5#.

METAL FINISH is CeraKote "H" series ceramic hybrid gun coating in base colors suited to the spec of each group of rifles (ex: O.D.Green with woodland camo stock or Coyote Tan with desert camo stock).

Some groups of rifles will feature our MIRAGE^TM 2-color CeraKote application. This is where a contrasting color is added in bands over the base color. This highlight is done in a color to compliment the molded in stock colors. I believe that the softer transition edges of our MIRAGE^TM offers an effective shadow type breakup camo that is superior to smaller detail camo when in the field.

Bolt body and firing pin parts are overcoated with MicroSlick dry film.

OPTICS: The SENTINEL^TM S.W.S. does not include optics except on on Law Enforcement Agency packages built to department spec. I highly recommend NightForce and Premier optics on working rifles.

Optional Accessories: Each SENTINEL^TM S.W.S. can ship with a Harris S-BRM swivel bipod and KMW Pod-Loc^TM kit installed. A Dewey premium coated cleaning rod and quality rod guide is recommended.

VARIANTS: As the components are prepared for each group of SENTINEL^TM, I will offer variations on the stock colors, metal finish colors, and barrel specifications and calibers. Some batches will be offered suppressor ready and night vision ready.

Each SENTINEL^TM is packaged with a genuine TAB tactical sling with heavy duty push button loops. This sling offers excellent versatility for carry options as well as superior shooting support.

We highly recommend the TAB rifle cover. These covers offer extra protection for your rifle while in the field as well as during transport.

PERFORMANCE

Your cold bore shot will be very consistent and bore maintenance will be very easy thanks to these quality barrel blanks. All rifles go through initial bore break-in and are tested for accuracy as well as function before they are released to a customer.

All SENTINEL^TM S.W.S. are guaranteed to group ½ m.o.a. or better @ 100 yards including the cold bore shot with Match quality ammunition.

Each test target includes 3 CONSECUTIVE 3-shot groups.

NOTE: The operational depth and versatility of the .308 Win. can be fully realized when RUAG ammunition is fielded as part of the S.W.S. RUAG's Swiss-P line of purpose built ammunition has been demonstrated to be extremely accurate and is available in mission specific configurations. One of the most important capabilities of this product line is its ability to place all configurations into the same ballistic path out to 300 meters.

I highly recommend this ammunition after personal experience has proven their marketed claims with both .308 Winchester and .338 Lapua Magnum.

If your rifle fails to perform, I will fix the problem part at no charge unless there are obvious signs of neglect or abuse. My name is stamped on every rifle because I think a rifle smith should be held accountable for the quality of his work. All of my rifles are built to be used! I do not ship a rifle unless I would be willing to bet my own skin on it. All work is guaranteed.

DELIVERY

SENTINEL^TM rifles are posted in Rifles For Sale on this site as each group is completed. At that time each rifle listed would be available to ship within 1 business day of receipt of your order and clear FFL or Law Enforcement Agency Purchase Order. I attempt to maintain the Rifles For Sale page so that it accurately reflects current availability.

Each SENTINEL^TM is delivered with 3 consecutive test groups on one target, technical sheet and recommended cleaning instructions. Every rifle goes through initial bore break-in and is tested for accuracy as well as function before it is released for posting on this site.
